NEWS: The Libertines Host Variety Night In Aid Of Shelter - Saturday 21st November
The Libs tell us...
We're turning lock down into a lock-in at The Albion Rooms this Saturday, inviting some of our favourite people to a very special two hour long shindig like you've never seen before.
The lockdown TV special from The Waste Land pub will feature music, comedy, poetry, performances and more. We've already got a bunch of great people signed up to entertain you from first to last orders, but we're also keeping some all important slots open for you to get involved too. If you've got something you'd like to contribute - maybe a song, or poem, a story or, well, whatever you like - we want to hear from you. We're not pigeon-holing this, so you can suggest whatever you like to us at email@example.com. Just drop us a line including a video clip of what you would like to perform on the night. We'll get back to our favourites and invite you to join us in performing live (from your home) during the broadcast.
This is a one time, one off stream, from 9pm to 11pm, so you'll have to tune in on the night as it happens. Buy yourself a virtual pint for £4 at LINK, and you'll be on the landlord's list for the secret broadcast. Money raised will go to Shelter, our charity partner for the show, as well as towards keeping the lights on at The Waste Land in this rather difficult time for the events and live arts industry.
So please get involved if you'd like, and play an important part in all this, or simply kick back and enjoy the experience as it unfolds. There'll be a lot of weird and wonderful things afoot, and not to mention surprises along the way. We've never undertaken anything quite on this scale before, so show your love and support at https://www.arevea.com/event/r-k-d-world-service-21NOV2020 and strap in! We'll see you there.
