The Weather Station, project of Tamara Lindeman, is “one of the most audaciously inventive auteurs working in the broad singer-songwriter tradition” (Rolling Stone). Released last month on her new label Fat Possum, her new album Ignorance is one of 2021’s most raved about records.
It’s a personal record about experiencing climate change and its audience is far-reaching, praised by environmental advocates (such as the National Audubon Society and National Defense Resources Council), music critics and fans alike. This past weekend, she made her television debut on CBS This Morning Saturday. Taped at Toronto’s Revolution Recording, Lindeman played three of the album’s tracks - “Parking Lot," "Tried To Tell You,” and “Loss.” The stunning performance presents Lindeman’s sophisticated new sound through a fully fleshed-out set with her band.
